ADMISSION

At the Greater Hanover Area Fire Museum, admission is free. Donations are greatly appreciated and help us maintain our displays and obtain new ones. You can make a donation during your visit or at anytime here.

Hours

The fire museum is open every Wednesday from 9AM to 3PM, and every first and third Saturday of the month from 9AM to 3PM. During our Holiday Train Garden, we are closed outside of the train garden hours. If you’d like to schedule a special tour during or outside of reguar hours for a group, please contact us here.

Tours

During visiting hours, we have several volunteers who are happy and prepared to give you a tour! The tour takes about 1.5 hours. You may also do our virtual tour yourself by scanning the QR codes at the museum.

We love groups! Our fire museum tour is perfect for individuals of all ages. We welcome schools, homeschool groups, scouts, fire companies, businesses — any group that wants to learn more about Hanover’s rich fire history. LOCATION & Parking

The Museum is located at 134 East Hanover Street, Hanover, PA 17331. There is street parking available in front of the museum, and a small lot behind the museum. There is additional parking across the street in the school parking lot.

There are several hotels in Hanover, including the Hampton Inn, the Holiday Inn Express and the Super 8 by Wyndham. We also encourage you to check out locally owned accommodations!

Accessibility

The Museum is wheelchair accessible. The second floor can be accessed with our elevator. Feel free to call ahead with questions about accommodations.
